# Typing reliability

**Claim.** 25 of 25 strings of 64 characters arrived exactly at full speed, and 25 of 25 in slow mode (about 4 times slower).

**Method.** `live_typing_test.py` types strings with doubled letters, mixed case and symbols through the Comet, then reads back what the target received over ssh and compares it with the string sent.

**Sample size.** 25 trials per mode, 50 in all. Also one 1500-character string in `live_test.py` (18 checks in that suite).

**Result.** 50 of 50 exact. Full speed is fine; slow mode is kept for passwords as a precaution.

**Limits.**
- Checked on a running Linux target, not in a BIOS or bootloader. Early consoles can drop characters at full speed; the docs advise pacing there, and that advice is not measured here.
- 64-character strings only, one target, one day.
- The device's print endpoint cuts at 1024 characters unless told otherwise.
